MOUNT ABU --- BREAK FOR WEARIED


If you are tired of wandering in the hot air of Rajasthan and dust and sand has wearied you out, then take break at Mount Abu.
Mount Abu in Rajasthan almost 200 kms from Udaipur is a favorite place for honeymooner from Gujarat and Rajasthan.
The nearest railway station is Abu road, is on the Ahmedabad –Delhi railway route. It takes 1 hour’s journey from Abu Road railway station, by bus or tourist bus which are abundant here.
Mount Abu is type of sleepy town during off-season and therefore the best time if you want to wander quietly is winter.
Mount Abu’s altitude is 1200 mtrs, enough for climate to be cool and at the same time comfortable for those who do wish to go to higher up places.
Mount Abu is full of shops selling Rajasthani handicrafts, jewellery and paintings.
Abu has been systematically developed by Rajasthan govt as tourists’ attractions points.
There are hotels of all types suitable for budgets of every person and food of western or Indian both is available.
Nakki Lake the foremost attraction of Mount Abu is half mile long and quarter mile broad surrounded by gardens and greenery, seating arrangements for tourists is a most visited place.
For the enthusiasts the boating is also available.
But a trip to mount Abu is not complete unless you make a visit to Dilwara Jain temples.
Built by the ministers of Solanki rulers these temples have wonderful marble carvings, these temples are the best in the Jain architecture.
Mount abut has it own wild life sanctuary in the Arvalli mountains ranges. Here one can find the wonderful water and air weathering effects on the rocks.
