MUSSOORIE - COOL AND PLEASANT

Mussoorie a pleasant hill station , in northern India, was first discovered by one Captain Young of the British Army in the year 1820, and he liked it so much that he built here his residence. This started the cohabitations of people here.
The word " mussoorie" is derived from the name of a plant mussoorie which were abundant here at that time.
Mussoorie is at the height of 2500 meters in Garhwal hills the Himalayan green ranges. The climate here is always cool and pleasant. The greenery, the protected jungles and the snake-lime curving small roads is a delicious break for the tourists.
Many people have settled down here permanently or built their vacation homes here to escape the fatigue of their busy life.
The city itself has it own small entertainment like Captain Garden, Gun hills and Kamptee Falls ( 30 kms) and rope way to a higher climb to see the long ranges of Himalayan mountains.
Population is less than 50000 to make it a quiet place for the wanderers.
When the summer starts the tourists especially from Northern India start flocking here, there are numerous hotels few kms from Mussoorie which serve the need of these people.
